Emergency Decon Solutions Ltd. (EDS) is Fort McMurray Wood Buffalo's trusted decontamination, disinfection, and deodorization solution.
Emergency Decon Solutions Ltd. is an Indigenous-owned company founded in 2020 by Anthony Punko. A local firefighter and Primary Care Paramedic with over 24 years of experience in the Emergency Services industry and 6 years volunteering as an Auxiliary RCMP Officer. Anthony volunteered with various organizations (Army Cadets, Minor Hockey, The Winter and Summer games) while living in Fort McMurray for 30 years.
Anthony has designed a custom-built Hazmat and Decontamination Response Unit for a local Oil and Gas Company and organized and built a Disinfection Program to help stop the spread of viruses for a local company. He has developed presentation and training programs for the Custom Hazmat and Decon Unit, the Disinfection Program for properly cleaning and inspecting firefighter bunker gear, and the Preliminary Exposure Reduction program.
Seeing and experiencing the challenges that Emergency Services Departments in the Region have in meeting NFPA, AHS, OH&S, and other Standards or Procedures, that are put in place to keep responders healthy and safe, Emergency Decon Solutions Ltd. was formed to help overcome those challenges. Emergency Decon Solutions Ltd. is a local company committed to assisting Emergency Services departments to follow current standards that reduce the health and safety risks to Emergency Responders.
EDS Ltd. is an innovative local company; our services are reliable, effective, and have consistent results. We carry products that work as intended, that “Reduce the Risks” to responders helping keep them all healthy and safe.
